San Bruno,
Calif.-based O’Dowd Plumbing announced the grand opening of its hands-on
Hydronic Heating Showroom during a chamber of commerce mixer March 12 at the
facilities. San Bruno Mayor
Larry Franzella officiated the
ribbon-cutting ceremony.
According to company president
Jim
O’Dowd, the hydronic showroom features working models of hydronic heating
systems including various radiant in-floor and under-floor options. Visitors
can see how the system works and feel how the heat radiates through various
flooring materials including tile, hardwood, concrete and carpet. The Showroom
also features other hydronic equipment and applications including panel
radiators and a towel warmer.
O’Dowd Plumbing was established in 1973 in Europe, then
relocated to the Bay Area in 1986 where it began service locally. “We are a
family owned and operated business, with our name on the door,” says O’Dowd.
“We take pride in our work, are reliable and efficient, and offer many options
that our customers may not have considered. We go the extra mile so that our
customers are satisfied with a job well done.”
Over the past several years, all members of the O’Dowd
family working in the field have earned the title Accredited Green Plumber.
This showroom is unique in that it offers visitors both a visual and hands-on
experience to help understand how this increasing popular and green technology
works.
