That’s up 1% from the year before, according to the Census Bureau. The fastest-growing state was Arizona, which grew 3.6%, followed by Nevada, 3.5%; Idaho, 2.6%; Georgia, 2.5%; and Texas, 2.5%. Population is a major indicator over time for where construction demand will change.
