Warmboard
Radiant Subfloor is currently being featured in the
Smart Home:
Green + Wired, Powered by ComEd and Warmed by Peoples Gas exhibit
at the
Chicago
Museum of Science and Industry. The exhibit features a fully-functioning,
three-story modular and sustainable "green" home that showcases ways
people can make eco-friendly living a part of their lives.
The home, designed by Michelle Kaufmann Designs™ and
built by All-American Homes™, “celebrates exciting new directions in
sustainable living and spectacular, environmentally-friendly technologies,” the
museum says. Visitors will be offered guided tours of the 2,500-square-foot
home and surrounding grounds, located in a park on the east side of the museum.
The exhibit opened May 8, 2008, and runs through Jan. 4, 2009.
SmartHome:
Green + Wired features high-performance, energy efficient building
systems, one of which is Warmboard Radiant Subfloor. It is used as the heat
source on the first and second floors of the building and was selected because
of its contributions to both energy efficiency and healthy, clean indoor air
quality.
